Twitter

Twitter warns inactive users to log back in to their accounts or they may lose access next month. On the plus side, the company is recycling twitter handles so active users can grab them. But the main goal of the coming purge is to contain misinformation before the 2020 presidential election.

The policy, which starts at least in 2018, says twitter can permanently delete accounts that haven't been logged in for more than six months. But in this case, the company has set a clear deadline; The affected users will have to sign on December 11, according to BBC reporter David Lee, who first tweeted news.
