Instagram的短视频应用Reels下月初将在美国推出

据国外媒体报道，社交媒体公司Facebook证实，旗下图片分享社交应用Instagram的短视频新功能“Reels”将于8月初在美国推出。这个山寨抖音国际版TikTok风格的短视频功能，于去年年底在巴西首次推出，它允许Instagram用户使用音频和配乐，录制和编辑15秒的视频剪辑。

According to foreign media reports, Facebook, a social media company, confirmed that the new short video feature "reels" of instagram, its image sharing social app, will be launched in the United States in early August. The copycat version of the tiktok international version of the TikTok style short video feature was first launched in Brazil at the end of last year, allowing Instagram users to record and edit video clips for 15 seconds using audio and music.

Instagram用户将能够创建和共享他们的Instagram故事的卷轴，并可以在他们的个人资料页面上使用特殊的新标签访问他们的短视频。公众账户将能够在Instagram Explore页面上共享他们的视频，用户可以选择是否在他们的个人资料页面和粉丝订阅源上显示卷轴。

无论TikTok的运营是否会遭到美国禁止，Facebook显然希望从竞争对手的社交平台上赢得用户。与此同时，其它一些社交应用也在利用TikTok遭遇封杀的机会，瞄准短视频应用市场这块大蛋糕。据报道，“阅后即焚”照片分享应用Snapchat已开始在为其视频内容测试类似TikTok风格的导航功能，而谷歌旗下视频分享平台YouTube也正在测试一个用于“小群组”的短视频应用内功能。

Whether or not tiktok's operations will be banned in the United States, Facebook clearly wants to win users from its competitors' social platforms. At the same time, some other social applications are also taking advantage of tiktok's blocked opportunity to target the big cake of short video application market. It is reported that snapchat, the "burn after reading" photo sharing app, has started to test tiktok style navigation functions for its video content, while youtube, Google's video sharing platform, is also testing a short video in app function for "small groups".
